The Hard Seltzer Craze Continues

It was the summer of seltzer-mania, but who said it has to stop now? According to reporting from Beverage Industry Magazine, the hard-seltzer beverage category experienced 70 percent year-over-year growth from June 2020 to June 2021, and triple-digit growth from 2018 to 2020, with industry analysts sensing no signs of a slowdown. “The evident play in the hard-seltzer space comes down to flavor differentiation,” says Provi CEO Taylor Katzman, who applauds Boulder’s Upslope Brewing for its recent seltzer success. Also dominating the local hard-seltzer game? Olde Town Arvada’s Elevated hard-seltzer taproom, which is pouring new fall and winter flavors, including caramel pumpkin, cinnamon apple, and chocolate mocha.
