It’s a big week for the culinary superstars of Colorado, as the state’s top chefs prepare to shine brighter than ever thanks to their fresh new Michelin Stars, which will be bestowed upon them on Tuesday at Mission Ballroom. And then the party truly begins. Here’s where you can celebrate the best of Denver’s dining scene this week. We’ll see you out there.

Sept. 12: Michelin Star Ceremony @ Mission Ballroom

Location: Mission Ballroom4242 Wynkoop St, Denver

The Michelin Guide—the foremost authority on all things gourmand that awards restaurants the coveted Michelin Stars—has arrived in Colorado. You might have heard news about the Bib Gourmands—restaurants that offer good quality at good value—that the Guide announced a week or so ago. And our biggest and most sincere congrats to the restaurants honored on the listsome of our faves. Consider that announcement a teaser course, just enough to whet your appetite for the feast that’s to come. On Tuesday night, Michelin Guide is hosting its first Inauguration Ceremony in Colorado. The state’s preeminent chefs have been invited to gather at Mission Ballroom in Denver to discover whether their restaurants have received a star. The event is not open to the public, but we’ll be there reporting live on the @diningoutmagazine Instagram, so follow along to learn who’s the who-est of the who among the top toques in Colorado. Michelin Guide awards stars to identify establishments serving exceptional cuisine that’s rich in flavor, remarkably executed, and infused with the personality of a talented chef. We’re giddy with anticipation.

Under the direction of founder Josh Harris and the two-time winner of “World’s Best Cocktail Menu,” Trick Dog is known for changing its menu concept and drinks entirely every six months. Since opening over a decade ago, Trick Dog has unveiled 19 wholly original menu themes, including Pantone color wheel, Rhymes with Trick Dog (a Seussian-style book), Trick Dog Mural Project (large-scale murals across San Francisco), and the current menu, Tantrick Dog, a 13×18-inch, vibrantly colored poster-style menu with playful illustrations of 16 dogs each replicating a classic yoga pose, from Down Dog to Puppy Pose. Inspired by vintage design and colors and printed on thick paper with a velvety texture, the menu offers a spirited approach to the practice of yoga with a drink named after each pose.
