The next time your taco craving hits, look no further than Federales in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver. You’ll find unique taco concepts, guacamole garnished with lime and chips smothered in queso inside the lofty bar with an urban industrial feel where you can mingle with other patrons eager to have a memorable evening.

Federales is a go-to bar for locals and tourists alike that centers around their inventive food and of course, authentic drinks. Because what goes better with a taco than a fresh margarita?

Federales makes its signature marg with fresh, hand-pressed lemon and lime juices, complemented by Cointreau liqueur, and a splash of agave and tequila. After a few good shakes, the margarita is poured over ice into a glass garnished with a spicy salt rim.

“We choose to use Cointreau at Federales because it pairs well with our fresh juices and brings a nice orange flavor to our margaritas,” says Blake, a barista who can shake up a mean margarita.

Cointreau is an old-school liqueur with lots of experience in getting the party started. Founded in 1849, it’s got a strong family legacy and over its 172-year history has earned every accolade you could imagine, from formal beverage awards to celebrity shout-outs.

In the 1940’s American socialite Margaret Sames famously stated that “a margarita without Cointreau isn’t worth its salt.” We would have to agree!

All the praise is well-deserved. Cointreau is a perfectly balanced crystalline liqueur, made with a precise blend of dried and fresh sweet and bitter orange peels. It boasts a concentrated flavor profile without being overly sweet and is sure to brighten any cocktail.

No wonder Federales chooses Cointreau to get the atmosphere buzzing!

Ok, now I’m craving tacos and a marg… Meet at Federales for happy hour?
