Second Act

Expect extraordinary wines from the Ordinary Fellow.

You probably know Ben Parsons best for dreaming up the Infinite Monkey Theorem, Denver’s urban winery. He stepped away from that company in June 2019, but he never stopped creating. At the Ordinary Fellow, Parsons’ newest winery and tasting room located in a renovated peach-packaging facility in downtown Palisade, he’s using mostly Colorado grapes to craft “humble wine for the curious mind.” Parsons has a handful of varietals about to hit shelves that he is especially excited about. “In 2021, we harvested Riesling, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon from our own vineyard in southwest Colorado that are tasting particularly delicious. We also made a 2021 Pinot Noir from fruit grown in Colorado that is [currently] in barrel and tastes amazing,” he says.
